What's America's Coolest Car

crazy car accessories

The Lamborghini Miura and the Nissan Skyline GT-R are two of the most extreme cars on the market today. There's also a Subaru BRZ tS as well as a Honda Civic Type-R. These are not necessarily cars but they are definitely unique and cool. So, which car is America's best-selling? Let's find it out. We hope this list inspires and motivates you to hop behind the wheel one of these magnificent beasts.

The Lamborghini Miura

In 1966, the Lamborghini Miura, a supercar, was auctioned at a high price. At $20,000 per unit, the Miura was considered a special machine. Only 275 Miuras were ever made. They sold like hotcakes. The Miura was a beautiful car with a slim waistline and a flat roof that rose 1050mm above the ground. It had twin-circular headlamps, derived from the Fiat 850 Spider.

The Nissan Skyline GT-R

1969 saw the first man launch to the Moon, and the 747 was its first appearance. The Japanese car buyer is looking for the most advanced technology. This car embodies all of these traits. Nissan launched the Skyline GT-R, which is considered one of the most desirable Japanese cars today. The GT-R badge was revived by Nissan in an explosion of turbocharged rage, even though it is difficult to find.

The Honda Civic Type-R

It is no surprise that the Honda Civic Type-R has become a very popular and well-known car. Its sleek design gives it a sporty appeal. The car's front is finished with three exhaust tips, multiple scoops, and three exhaust tips. Another notable feature is the rear wings. The Type-R doesn't offer as much as the older versions but still offers an exceptional driving experience.

Subaru BRZ-tS

The Subaru BRZ tS Limited Edition Model is available at $34,000. It's a screamer on the track and a dandy on the street. The car's chassis experts know their stuff. The vehicle has low ground clearance which makes traction difficult, especially when driving on slippery roads. It's still fun to drive the windy Californian canyon roads and the tS is great for downhill runs.

The Toyota 2000 GT

The Toyota 2000 GT was one of the earliest sports cars to be built, and was created in collaboration with Nissan. The idea for the project was first conceived in December 1964. On September 8, 1965, two companies signed a technology-sharing agreement. The design team consisted of Toyota engineers Shinichi Yamazaki and Hidemasa Takagi, test driver Eizo Matsuda, and design assistant/development driver Shihomi Hosoya. The project was overseen by Toyota industrial designer Shoichi Saito. Toyota industrial design Shoichi Saito was responsible for creating the car's shape.

Ford Bronco

The Ford Bronco is probably one of the coolest cars ever created. Its name convention is "GOAT", which means "Goes Over Any Terrain." The eight-speed automatic transmission can be set up in seven modes to suit different driving conditions. These include normal, eco and sport. The base Bronco features five drive modes and the Wildtrak optionally offers seven.

The Volvo G80

In our tests, we found the G80 to be the coolest car on the market. The G80, despite its expensive price tag is still a fantastic value. Its luxurious cabin is the epitome of Swedish engineering, and its driver-centric focus means it's not too expensive compared to its competitors. The G80's 3.0-liter 3.5T engine provides a smooth, refined ride with plenty of sound. However, the G80 isn't a sports sedan. The 5.1-second sprint to 0-60mph is quite slow. It's also possible that your hair could be brushed against the headliner, either in front or behind the driver-side seats. This won't be a problem for sub-six-footers, however.

How To

How to become an automotive technician

An automotive technician is responsible for vehicle maintenance and repair. He/she works at car dealerships, auto shops, garages, service centers, etc. He/she assists customers in fixing their cars, trucks or motorcycles. An automotive technician must be capable of diagnosing problems and making repairs safely, accurately and efficiently.

A person who wants to work as an automotive technician should first obtain an associate degree from a vocational school. After completing the program, he/she must take the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence certification exam. ASE stands for American Society of Mechanical Engineers. There are two sections to the ASE certification test. One section tests mechanical knowledge; the second section tests practical skills. You will need to attend an authorized testing site in order to pass the test. These locations can be found online or at your local auto dealer.

Before becoming an automotive technician, a candidate must pass the test. It varies depending on the location of the applicant. Some states require that candidates attend training courses, while others permit them to learn independently. Some states allow technicians to become licensed right away after receiving their license. While others wait until they have had at least six years of experience as an automotive technician.

To get started as an automotive technician, a person should apply to a local automotive dealership. Most employees who are hired start as apprentices. Apprenticeship programs usually last three years. Students learn basic repair skills such as changing oil and adjusting brakes, changing tires, cleaning spark plugs and inspecting engine compartments. Some students will learn advanced repair techniques, such as changing shocks, installing air filters, and replacing engines. Schools offer classes during business hours. Some schools also offer evening classes, if necessary.

Once a student finishes his/her apprenticeship, it is possible to become a Journeyman. Journeymen usually spend four to five year learning how to install major systems like transmissions, differentials steering gear, suspensions, drive shafts, and steering gear. Journeymen also learn to fix complicated problems, such as rebuilding engines or troubleshooting electric components. Because they have a good understanding of the job and what customers expect, many employers prefer to hire journeymen.

A candidate who passes all the necessary exams and gets a license might be interested in opening his/her own business. According to Bureau of Labor Statistics (2010), almost 1.7million automotive mechanic jobs were on the market. This figure is expected to rise 18 percent between 2009-2020. Candidates who decide to open their own business should be prepared to invest thousands in equipment and supplies.

Many factors affect the automotive technician's salary, including location, education, experience, and employer type. On average, a jobless person could expect to earn $20,000 annually. A person with only a high-school diploma could make around $21,000 annually. An associate's degree earns approximately $24,000 annually. Technicians with bachelor's degrees earn approximately $27,000 per year. The average annual salary for those with master's degrees was $32,000. Salary increases are common, so a professional who earns less than $30,000 now could reasonably expect to earn $40,000 or more in just a few years.
